Atlanta Peaches and Art Show Craft Trap

Today we'd like to introduce you to KD Supreme.

KD, let's start with your story. We'd love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I created Craft Trap based on my own experiences as an Artist/Entrepreneur doing many different events. I quit my corporate job back in 2015 and started hustling my craft full-time which was something that was long overdue, but I was in my own way. I was doing events every month, sometimes twice a month for a year. Doing so many different events, I noticed a lot of different things I didn't like. So I decided to create an event that treated Artist/Entrepreneurs like businesses instead of walking dollar signs. I started my first event in February 2017 with City Of Ink- 10 yr. Anniversary Show. Today, we host the Castleberry Hill Art Stroll at Peter Street Station every 2nd Friday of the Month, The Nashville Hot Chicken and Art Show, The Rutherford County Hot Chicken and Art Show, and The Atlanta Peaches and Art Show. With a growing following of supporters, we plan to expand to more cities soon.

We're always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we've spoken with enough people to know that it's not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road, but that's how you grow. Putting on events is not an easy thing, it's all trial and error, you really have to put in the work. Most importantly, never giving up mixed with consistency are the true keys to success. I am still a student, studying the greats to become greater. Even if You fail at something, You have to have the heart to continue and never give up.

We'd love to hear more about your business.
For the most part, I host events that support the arts, entrepreneurship, diversity, and inclusion specifically catering to younger adult artist. I am most proud of creating this platform for entrepreneurs to help push their dreams versus clocking for someone else's. What sets us apart from others is I have been that artist/entrepreneur and I understand the hills and mountains of entrepreneurship life. I know what it takes to struggle to have Your voice heard. Also, what it means when someone takes the time to listen. We share the culture!

What were you like growing up?
Honestly, growing up, I was a brat lol! I played basketball all day long – I should probably be in the WNBA right now. I have always loved fashion, sneakers, making money and cars. I must admit, I started hustling at a very young age so that I could obtain those things.
